Riot Act Comedy Halloween Spectacular
The comedy Halloween Spectacular plays in the most perfect venue for the spooky vibes
A brand new open-mic cabaret night has opened in Bristol, aiming to celebrate Bristolians and their stories.
It’s called Riot Act and has been set up by Bristol-based Sam Cohen, a theatre-maker and poet.
Sam is bringing local comedians, musicians, clowns and poets to perform open slots alongside headline acts with national profiles.
A special Halloween Spectacular launch event will be taking place on 28 October at one of Bristol’s most beautiful and quirkiest of venues.
The Mount Without is a church that was closed at the end of the nineties, sitting abandoned until it experienced severe fire damage in a 2016 arson attack.
Now the atmospheric venue has been restored into a creative performance space, complete with crypts and graveyard.
It’s the perfect location for a bit of Halloween cabaret.
Comedian, writer and broadcaster, Robin Ince, will be headlining the Halloween Spectacular, alongside stand-up poet Edward Tripp, ‘lyrical hellraiser’ Samuel L Cohen and West Country comedian Cerys Nelmes.
The Riot Act Halloween Spectacular will be taking place on 28 October 2024
