Rivals Series 2 Filming at Bristol Hippodrome

Hit TV series starring David Tennant returns to Bristol for filming

Filming for the second series of Rivals has been taking place across the region. This weekend, filming took place outside the Bristol Hippodrome in the city centre.

The front of the venue was dressed in vintage style 80’s theatre posters. A red carpet had been rolled out, with roped barriers.

A now deleted post that was on Bristol Reddit, showed David Tennant on location later in the day.

The TV drama is based on Dame Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire Chronicles. Following the success of series 1, the second series is currently in production by Happy Prince for Disney+.

The series stars David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, Victoria Smurfit, Claire Rushbrook, Oliver Chris, Lisa McGrillis, Emily Atack, Rufus Jones, Luca Pasqualino, Catriona Chandler and Annabel Scholey.
