St Patrick’s Day Weekend Events from Bristol Irish Society

Bristol Irish Society celebrates St Patrick’s Day with a weekend of events:

The Bristol Irish Society are gearing up for a weekend of events and celebrations ahead of St Patrick’s Day on Tuesday 17 March 2020.

A Ceilidh and Irish Dancing will be taking place at Fiddlers on Friday 13 March from 8pm. The O’Malley School of Irish Dance – who are off to the World Championships in the Autumn – will be entertaining alongside live music from Fleigh O’Hara.

A parade through central Bristol will also be taking place on Sunday 15 March, leaving Trinity Centre in Old Market at 1pm, heading towards Castle Park, The Galleries, then turning onto St Nicholas Street for a free Street Party from 2pm until 7pm. Live music, Irish Dancing and ‘lots of craic’ is promised to those attending.

On St Patrick’s Day itself, live music will be taking place all through the day and into the early hours at Seamus O’Donnell’s on St Nicholas street. Events will also be running at The Star in Fishponds and Coach & Horses in Old Market.
