St Paul’s Carnival 2018 Video Footage City Road Bristol

St Paul’s Carnival Bristol 2018:

An excess of 100,000 people are estimated to have visited St Paul’s Carnival this year. It’s the first one after a three-year gap and it celebrated its fiftieth anniversary event on Saturday 07 July 2018.

The popular community event celebrating Afro Caribbean culture, is an important fixture for the city. This year, the participants paraded through a circular route of the heart of the St Paul’s area with dancers, floats and local schools participating.

We captured some footage of just one third of the procession from outside Lakota, at the junction of Lower Ashley Road and City Road.

Weather conditions in Bristol were extreme, with heatwave temperatures and blazing sunshine.
