That’ll Be The Day Christmas Special
Bristol Hippodrome rock and roll regular That’ll Be The Day, won’t be skipping Christmas this year, with a special online event taking place this month.
A Christmas Special of That’ll Be The Day will be available to watch online on Tuesday 08 and Saturday 13 December 2020.
The show was recorded at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage in October, featuring Christmas pop classics amongst traditional songs and comedy routines. Cast members will be live before the show, during the interval, reading out messages and answering questions.
“We are very much looking forward to working on this exciting project,” Trevor Payne, the producer and director of That’ll Be The Day said.
” A lot of people find themselves stuck at home in the lead up to Christmas and these are very challenging times for everyone.
“We are asking fans to dress as if they’re going to the theatre and make an evening of it to help everyone get in the festive mood and we are hoping to bring a little bit of Christmas magic to them, in the only way that we can, for now!”

7PM: LOGIN & GET READY TO PARTY
We’ll be getting you into the Christmas spirit with some Christmas classics! Trevor will welcome you all and set the stage for your exciting evening. You can start to upload your photos and messages for Trevor and the gang.
7.15PM: ACT 1
The first half of the 2020 Christmas Show.
8.15PM: INTERVAL
Grab yourself an ice cream and take a comfort break. We’ll play more Christmas hits while Trevor opens his mailbag.
8.30PM: TREVOR’S MAILBAG
Trevor and the gang will take a look at the photos, messages and birthday & anniversary announcements you’ve uploaded to the site, to spread a bit of festive cheer.
8.45PM: ACT 2
We re-join the Christmas Show for the second half.
9.45PM: AFTER SHOW CHAT AND DRINKS
After the show we’ll catch up with Trevor and some special guests from the cast to share a (socially-distanced) sherry and a mince pie. Bring your own of course!
10.15PM: END
Tickets are £12.99, with only one ticket needed per family. Up to £4.25 per stream given to support The Bristol Hippodrome.
The live stream will be presented on the www.thatllbetheday.events website using special video player software. Customers will not need to download any apps. Customers will be able to watch the stream on their computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
