The Castle Tobacco Factory Theatres

Anonymous Walrus are bringing their debut show The Castle, to Tobacco Factory Theatres this summer.

The show has been devised by the theatre company formed from University Centre Weston’s Performing Arts Graduating company – and scripted by Adrian Harris.

Described as a ‘tense’ and ‘darkly funny’ piece of theatre full of ‘psychological intrigue’, The Castle will explore the difficulties in really knowing other people.

It’s been inspired by Shirley Jackson’s classic gothic novel – We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

‘In a big old house at the edge of town lives Merricat, her sister Constance, her Uncle Julian and her cat.

Whispers and rumours are swirling amongst the townsfolk about what happened to the rest of her family, but the truth is tucked away in that house.’

Ticket sales will go towards the company touring the show to the Manchester Fringe.

The Castle will be at Tobacco Factory Theatres on Thursday 08 June 2023.
