Us (and all The Other Sh*t) Alma Tavern

New writing brought to the Alma by talented students of BOVTS

Brand new dark comedy – Us (and all The Other Sh*t) – will be coming to the Alma Tavern Theatre this July.

The production has been written, directed and will be performed by students of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School – from both acting courses and Production Arts.

Lola Annesely is the writer, scrutinising the meaning of love, marriage and modern relationships. The company describe the show as exploring these themes with ‘wit’ and ‘deep emotion’ asking ‘is love ever enough?’

Susie and Doug are happy. Comfortably settled into their seven year relationship, their lives feel ‘sorted’. Or so they think. Then Doug pops the question.

What begins with a conversation about who will wash up the cereal bowl once they’re married, unravels into an argument which leaves them questioning everything. Especially when Doug’s sister, Edie, appears and reveals her big surprise.

Us (and all The Other Sh*t) will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre from 02 – 04 July 2024
