Hold the Front Page, because this is casting news that we somehow missed. The Welsh National Opera are back in Bristol this November, bringing with them Nicholas Lester in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin.

The Australian baritone gave Bristol the best Figaro in years back in 2016’s WNO The Barber of Seville.

This time, he will be performing as Onegin on Wednesday 15 November starting at 7pm.

The opera will be sung in Russian with English surtitles with the running time of three hours and 3o minutes, including two intervals.
