South Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatres, has announced a series of live performances running through June and booking now.

DESTINY
Friday 25 and Saturday 26 June 2021

Recommended Booking: Florence Espeut-Nickless brings her brand new production DESTINY, a semi-autobiographical monologue based on being a teen girl growing up in rural Wiltshire on a council estate. Tobacco Factory Theatres has supported the development of this production which promises to be banging.


The Devil’s Violin
Wednesday 09 –Friday 11 June 2021
The Devil’s Violin bring their music and storytelling group to Bristol with their brand new show – The Beast in Me. The show weaves together a tapestry of tales about our perception of beauty and the the value of kindness.

Oh Mary!
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June 2021

Oh Mary! is a one-woman show from Bec Applebee, based on the life story of 18th Cornish highwaywoman Mary Bryant. Bec has previously been involved for her work with companies including Kneehigh Theatre, Cousin Jack’s and GoldenTree Productions.

Dan Canham
Thursday 17 June 2021

Bristol-based theatre-maker and choreographer Dan Canham leads the latest in Tobacco Factory Theatres’ programme of Artist Masterclasses. Dan will be looking at how movement can be used to connect to what’s going on inside you, gesture, rhythm, connection to music, and movement as a kind of shedding or reclamation of identity.

Dan’s previous work includes Of Riders & Running Horses and SESSION for his own company, Still House. And as a Movement Director, Dan has worked on shows including Sally Cookson’s Jane Eyre and A Monster Calls.
