Christmas carols, stories and mince pies are on the way to Bristol

The Christmas markets have opened and the lights are starting to twinkle in windows around Bristol. That means we are now in festive season and in the run up to Christmas.

There’s plenty of entertainment from now until January to get you in the mood, but who can resist a jolly good belt of Christmas carols with festive fairytales, mince pies and mulled wine?

This is where the Crick Crack Club Christmas Carols Show comes in.

The company has brought its cheery show to Bristol audiences in the past. Now they are back with promises that once again, it will be one of the city’s most ‘joyful’ Christmas events.

The show has been created by Crick Crack Club, a storytelling company that’s been entertaining audiences for nearly 40 years.

It’s taking place at The Mount Without, a former church repurposed into one of the city’s unique performance spaces.

Artistic Director of the company Ben Haggarty, will be joining up with cast members Tim Ralphs and Steph Brittain for storytelling.

Sheema Mukherjee and Raoul Neumann will be banging out the carols.

Christmas jumpers and excess tinsel are all welcomed. Expect “disorders of service, chaotic sing-alongs, and Christmas tree shrine,” Crick Crack says.

There’s two different performances taking place this year, one for a family audience and an adapted version for the adults.

Tickets are selling really fast, with those wanting to go urged not to leave booking too late.

Money from the show will be going to aid the work and campaigns of the Museum of Homelessness.

Crick Crack Club Christmas Carols Show will be at The Mount Without on 07 December 2025 at 4pm and 7pm
