Closer Each Day Christmas Show at The Weston Studio

The much-loved theatrical soap stages its Christmas Special at Bristol Old Vic

Bristol’s record breaking live comedy soap opera – Closer Each Day – is making a move to Bristol Old Vic this December for a special Christmas season.

The improvised show, which is about to head into season 33, is the longest running theatre show outside of London. It’s also the UK’s only live soap opera.

The show is always unscripted, entirely unpredictable and a complete Bristol theatrical institution.

This Christmas will see Closer Each Day become especially lively, featuring juicy storylines and special guests.

The company’s Season 33 at The Wardrobe Theatre and Christmas season is booking now.

Closer Each Day: The Improvised Soap Opera – Special Christmas Edition – will be in The Weston Studio of Bristol Old Vic from 04 – 19 December 2026
