Free Installation – Moments of Light Dorothy House

A new immersive light installation which is free to visit will open near Bristol

A free light installation event will be taking place from October – and it’s just a 45 minute drive from Bristol.

Dorothy House in Winsley, will be hosting the world premiere of a new immersive light installation by international artist Bruce Munro.

It will mark the 50th anniversary of Dorothy House, which provides free palliative and end of life care for people across Bath and North East Somerset and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire.

Moments of Light invites people to wander amongst the thousands of illuminated forms. The installation shows light in the dark to show life continuing, even during loss.

There is already a permanent Firefly Woods installation on the grounds from the same artist. Visitors are able to dedicate a light on a Firefly to honour their loved ones and add to a constellation of remembrance.

Tickets are free but must be booked. Donations are warmly welcomed to allow the hospice to continue with its free service.

Moments of Light will be running at Dorothy House 01 October – 31 December 2026
