As We Know It by Hazy Elephant Theatre at Elevate Festival 2024

The Bristol theatre company brought their show to the Bath festival

The Elevate Festival in Bath drew to a close this weekend, after a week of bringing together theatre companies, performers and audiences in the region

More than 20 local artists and companies staged work at The Roper Room and the egg auditorium between 02 – 07 September 2024.

The programme included a wide-range of styles including comedy, drama, family theatre and scratch performances.

Bristol based theatre company Hazy Elephant Theatre, took the opportunity to stage As We Know It.

It’s a new piece of writing by Paige Farnham, who also directed the show alongside producer Coni Thorne.

The play centres around four teenagers – Charlie, Georgia, Abi and weed dealer Gucci. They’re waiting for their final night on earth to end.

It’s a dark and humourous piece of writing, delving into important issues affecting Gen Z and how they would handle the end of the world.
