Barnfest Outdoor Theatre Festival brings a range of outdoor socially distanced events

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has announced an exciting programme of summer outdoor theatre and entertainment, which is running until schools return.

All the events will be taking place outside and within the grounds of Ingleside House – adjacent to the theatre.

The programme includes a large variety of children’s shows including Tweedy the Clown, The Wind in the Willows and the Adventures of Doctor Dolittle.

A new co-production from the Barn Theatre with Take Two Theatricals and BoxLess Theatre will also see a new staging of Simon Reade’s play adaptation of Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo.

SCOOT Theatre will be bringing a re-imagined 60 minute retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. And, a new production of Kander & Ebb musical revue The World Goes ‘Round will bring the season to a close.

Casting so far includes West End and television stars Natasha Barnes, Rosie Day and Aaron Sidwell – who Bristol audiences will remember from the last touring production of Wicked.

The event runs until 05 September 2020.
