Bristol Children’s Theatre: Pumpkins (and other spooky season Stories!)
Half term theatre for children in Bristol this October
If you’re looking for some children’s theatre in Bristol this half term, then you’re in for a treat. Brave Bold Drama are back this October, with perfect Halloween fun – Pumpkins (and other spooky season Stories!).
Gourdon and Melonie are activist pumpkins on a mission! Disturbed that so many of their fellow pumpkins end up in bins every Halloween, they are on a mission to change hearts and minds and improve human/vegetable relations for all time.
Armed with a hand-drawn PowerPoint, a ukulele and a really terrible poem, they will not rest until you take the pumpkin pledge and vow never again to throw a pumpkin in the bin.
Guaranteed to be brilliant family fun, Pumpkins is a sketch that will make you rethink your relationship with squashes.
If that’s not enough, the pair will then create a brand new extra bonus story based on ideas inspired by the audience.
The show is aimed at children aged around four years upwards with their families with a running time of one hour.
Pumpkins (and other spooky season Stories!) is being staged by the same theatre company who presented Yule Be Merry, the sell-out Christmas show at St Werburghs City Farm in December 2023. Early booking is highly recommended for these popular shows.
The show will be taking place at St Werburghs City Farm in an outside area – but with a roof. Dressing warmly for the weather is strongly advised.
Pumpkins (and other spooky season stories!) runs from Tuesday 29 – Thursday 31 October 2024 with shows at a 11am and 2pm daily.
