What’s coming up at Bristol Old Vic this autumn, winter and Christmas season
Bristol Old Vic has announced its autumn, winter and christmas theatre season for 2025/26, which features a variety of shows for all audiences.
Starter for Ten makes a return in September. The popular new musical will be coming back to Bristol Old Vic ahead of moving to Birmingham Rep.
Treasure Island: A New Musical Adventure, will also please the toe-tappers as it makes the main house its home for Christmas.
Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho returns to Bristol in October. The cabaret drag hit show is an absolute blast and so much fun. It’s the eve of the vote on Section 28 and Maggie gets lost in Soho. Naturally, she accidentally becomes a cabaret superstar. Will she change her mind about the homophobic bill before it’s too late…?
Bristol writer Jack Thorne’s dark coming-of-age vampire story Let The Right One In will be playing in the theatre in November. The play is based on the Swedish novel and film by Jon Ajvide Lindqvist.
Yippee Ki Yay – The Parody Celebration of Die Hard, is just what we need at the end of October – pretty much heralding in the start of the Christmas season.
It’s almost sold out already, but fans of Uncanny might be lucky enough to get some of the final tickets kicking about for the brand new live show Uncanny: Fear of the Dark. Danny Robins and his team of experts return to theatres with new terrifying real-life stories and thrilling witness accounts.
