Bristol Sea Shanty Festival 2026
The annual festival returned for the seventh year
It was a busy weekend on the Bristol Harbourside over the weekend. There was the Docks Heritage Weekend, which took the area back in time to the 1950s.
The docks were also filled with the sound of singing, with the Bristol Sea Shanty Shout – festival – taking place at multiple locations over the same weekend.
The city’s maritime history is a rich part of Bristol’s cultural and heritage identity. The Sea shanty festival has been celebrating it over the last seven years with sea shanty groups and choirs from across the country taking part.
Check out the Barnacle Buoys who were singing in the Great Eastern Hall of Brunel Square on Saturday lunchtime.
