Acclaimed show launches tour in Bristol next month

1912 Productions will be in Bristol next month with their acclaimed show Can’t Wait To Leave.

It’s a solo show – with an additional voice cast – written and directed by Stephen Leach. Set in a hospital waiting room, it tells the story of 19 year-old Ryan, a young man stuck in the shadow of his older brother.

The show delves into themes of loneliness affecting young people as well as childhood trauma, family estrangement and sexual identity. Can’t Wait To Leave was praised for its humour as well as the way it handles challenging subjects at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Can’t Wait To Leave will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre on 30 and 31 August 2024
