Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish – The Wardrobe Theatre Bristol
- Expect an hour of magnificent fun from Roustabout Theatre at The Wardrobe Theatre this Easter with their highly acclaimed new show
This Easter holidays, The Wardrobe Theatre is the place to be if you have kids.
Roustabout Theatre are bringing their staged production of Michael Foreman’s Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish to the Bristol venue.
One man’s passionate dream to find his paradise beyond the stars leaves the world in ruins. Can the dinosaurs who sleep deep underground wake up in time to sort out the mess and save Planet Earth?
This imaginative retelling features dancing dinosaurs, rock ‘n’ roll, space travel and catchy songs.
But, it also has an important message of ecological awareness at its heart.
“When I wrote, and illustrated, Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish in 1972, it was because of the growing threat to the environment,” Author Michael Foreman says.
“I never imagined the book would be even more relevant more than fifty years later, and I am delighted that director Toby Hulse and Roustabout are bringing it to a wider audience. I saw the show and thought it was BRILLIANT! We really enjoyed it.”
Bristol based Roustabout, will be staging the show with actor-musicians Oliver de Rohan, Robin Hemmings and Shaelee Rooke.
Director Toby Hulse says: “I am thrilled that, after the roaring success of the first tour, we are able to bring the show to so many more families in so many more venues. This is a book that I devoured as a child, and it’s such a treat to share it with all kinds of brand new audiences.”
Roustabout Theatre will be at The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol from 07 – 12 April 2023.
The show, which runs at one hour without an interval, is most suitable for families with children aged 3 – 8 years of age. Children under 2 years go free.
