Far From The Madding Crowd BOVTS Redgrave Theatre Bristol
- Far From the Madding Crowd staged by Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS)
- Socially distanced performance to a limited audience
- Show will also be streamed online live
Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS) will be staging Thomas Hardy’s classic tale Far From The Madding Crowd, at Redgrave Theatre this December.
The socially distanced performance will be the first one to take place at the venue since the coronavirus pandemic closed its doors back in March.
Each performance will play to a limited capacity of 50 seats in the auditorium, with tickets to be sold to groups of people living within the same household.
The show will also be streamed live to audiences at home, with live stream links also on sale.
Far From The Madding Crowd tells the tale of Bathsheba Everdene, a woman finding herself in a man’s world after inheriting her father’s farm. Pursued by three different suitors, will any of them make a match for the independent Bathsheba?
The show is directed by Paul Chesterton, with design by Max Dorey. It is suitable for audiences ages 12 years upwards.
It will run at the Redgrave Theatre from 05 – 08 December 2020.
