Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Palace Theatre London

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:

We saw the Thursday 01 and Friday 02 August evening performances

It was our second time seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at The Palace Theatre in London. The eighth story created for the stage by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, picks up at the end of the final book and movie. The script has also been published in book form, though the play urges audiences to keep the secrets.

Now in its fourth year, the two-part play is an investment. Audiences must either see both parts in a day – each part is a full-length play. Or, it can be seen in two consecutive evenings. Is it worth the time and money? Absolutely. The story is gripping, even a second time around. The staging is brilliant, the effects incredibly clever and the acting from the entire cast is top class.

It’s hard to talk about the play without revealing spoilers, but it’s dramatic, funny, witty, melodramatic, features some mildly scary moments and a few tear jerkers. Definitely a must-see.
