Kiss Of The Spider Woman Comes To Bristol Old Vic
The show brings a heavyweight cast with it
The first major UK revival of Kiss Of The Spider Woman since 1992, will be coming to Bristol Old Vic next year.
It’s the result of a co-production between Curve, Bristol Old Vic and Mayflower Southampton.
The cast for the new production has already been announced as theatre heavyweights Layton Williams, Anna-Jane Casey and George Blagden.
Kiss Of The Spider Woman is a musical from the partnership of John Kander and Fred Ebb. This production will be directed by Paul Foster. He is already at the helm of Bristol Old Vic’s Christmas Show as director of Treasure Island.
The cast of Kiss Of The Spider Woman
The show will open at Curve’s Studio Theatre 03-25 April 2026. It will then be coming to Bristol Old Vic for a run from 26 April to 16 May. Finally, it will travel to Mayflower Studios for 02 – 06 June 2026.
Kander and Ebb’s show was based on Manuel Puig’s novel of the same name – adapted for the stage by Terrence McNally.
It’s 1993 Broadway production won seven Tony Awards, which included Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.
