A new play about homelessness in Bristol, will premiere at The Wardrobe Theatre in June this year. The two-night date comes ahead of a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Festival in August

Sugar? tells the story of members of Bristol’s homeless community through high-energy physical storytelling. It features original music, live and recorded sound, and will be told through verbatim words. The genuine Bristol stories veer from the hilarious to highly relatable.

Suspension Theatre have created this piece of work by partnering with Bristol Methodist Centre and 1625 Independent People, conducting hours of interviews with homeless as well as non-homeless people in the city. They have also partnered with social enterprise Billy Chip – which is supported by lots of food outlets in Bristol.

Sugar? will be at The Wardrobe Theatre on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June 2022.

It runs at 60 minutes with an age recommendation of 12 years upwards.
