Dark comedy Past Tents, will be coming to the Alma Tavern Theatre this September.
Alan’s having a bad day. It starts with the end of his marriage, he has a car crash and then lost with no phone signal ends up having to stay on a campsite.
If it couldn’t get any worse, he’s stuck on the pitch between a sheep-poo bin and an extremely annoying camper – Justin.
Alan quickly comes to despise Justin, the positive family man who seems to have his life under control. And what is the eccentric campsite owner Virgil doing with those sheep traps? But all is not as it seems leading to unfortunate consequences as true selves are revealed.
Past Tents is described as a ‘funny, dark, moving comedy’ about two desperate people at the end of their tent ropes. Forced into each other’s company, what will happen as the tension builds? Will they find redemption? Or will they kill each other?
