Play On Bristol Old Vic Casting Announced

The brand new musical celebrates Talawa Theatre Company’s Black Joy season

Talawa Theatre Company’s brand new show Play On, will be coming to Bristol Old Vic in January, fresh from a winter run at Lyric Hammersmith.

The show is a joyous jazz musical set to a Duke Ellington score. It’s based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night – transferring the action to the 1940s New York jazz scene.

The cast has been announced – below – with Talawa’s Artistic Director Michael Buffong directing.

Talawa Theatre Company champions Black Excellence in theatre, aiming to nurture both emerging and established artists of African or Caribbean heritage.
