Rock Bottom by Charlie Day at Alma Tavern Theatre

Fresh Life Theatre are bringing Rock Bottom to the Alma Tavern Theatre for one show only.

Written and performed by Charlie Day, the show is a fresh re-imagining of Shakespeare’s clown character Bottom, from A Mid Summer Night’s Dream.

Bottom arrives at the theatre ready to perform, but finds himself abandoned by the rest of the cast. During the one-hour show, he must come to terms with who he is, dealing with the trauma of the loneliness he has created, with a need for the audience to love him.

Audiences should expect rude wit, plenty of humour, quotes and existential dread.

Rock Bottom is on at the Alma Tavern Theatre on Friday 19 May 2023 at 8pm
