(Say It) As It Is by Amanda Quartey at Space 238 Bristol
A new show by theatre performer and creative Amanda Quartey, will be premiering at Space 238 in Bristol this May.
The solo show is an autobiographical piece of work – directed and produced with Noémie Pinaudeau – which Swedish-Ghanaian Amanda describes as ‘Spiritual Theatre’.
She uses her own personal uncensored memories of sexuality and sexual interactions, aiming to make the ‘unspeakable speakable’, in a process that allows limiting beliefs to be recognised and released.
Amanda will take the audience to moments from childhood to present day which have impacted on her sexuality the most. The work includes movement, dance and live music from a loop station.
(Say It) As It Is, will run at Space 238 on Stapleton Road in Easton on 01, 08, 15, 22, 29 May and 05 June 2022.
