Sister Act Comes to the Bristol Hippodrome

A brand new production of Sister Act The Musical, will be coming to Bristol as part of a UK and Ireland tour.

The show will star Sandra Marvin as Deloris Van Cartier, alongside Lesley Joseph as Mother Superior, Clive Rowe as Eddie Souther and Lizzie Bea as Sister Mary Robert.

The cast also includes Jeremy Secomb, Graham McDuff, Tricia Deighton, Lori Haley Fox, Damian Buhagiar, Tom Hopcroft, Bradley Judge, Tanya Edwards, Catherine Millsom, Anne Smith, Emma Ralston, Jermaine Woods, Michael Ward and Caroline Bateson.

The musical is based on the iconic movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, who goes into hiding at a convent after witnessing a murder. Her infectious love of music helps the other nuns to find their voice.

The show features original music from Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

Bill Buckhurst directs, with choreography by Alistair David, Set Design by Morgan Large, Lighting Design by Tim Mitchell, Sound Design by Tom Marshall and Musical Supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt and produced by Jamie Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg.

Sister Act will be at the Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 21 March – Saturday 01 April 2023
