Stiles & Drewe’s Honk! – Christmas Show For Barn Theatre

The family favourite is given a bold new staging by the innovative theatre

A musical version of The Ugly Duckling by Stiles & Drewe, has been announced by the Barn Theatre as their Christmas show for 2026.

It’s a new revival of the award winning musical Honk, which is based on the Hans Christian Andersen classic.

CEO and Artistic Director of Barn Theatre, Iwan Lewis, calls the theatre’s next Christmas show a “big musical treat.”

Honk has been a firm family favourite since it was first performed in 1993. It’s been staged over 8,000 times around the globe.

Barn theatre says their 2025 staging will bring a ‘refreshed visual world’ but promises to keep the story’s heart ‘intact’.

Honk is a journey of belonging and self discovery. With a face only a mother can love, Honk’s siblings and friends tease him for his looks, but there’s more to this plucky ‘duckling’ than meets the eye.

Lost and in peril of being eaten, Ugly undertakes an adventure of wild goose chases and mistaken identities to find out who he really is.

Honk will be at Barn Theatre from 21 November – 03 January 2027

Online booking opens on 22 November 2025
