The Ugly One at The Wardrobe Theatre BOVTS Summer Festival
Marius Von Mayenburg’s The Ugly One will be performed this June at The Wardrobe Theatre as part of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS) Summer Festival.
The social satire examines how image shapes your identity and if it is possible to become too beautiful.
Lette was unaware of his unusual appearance until the extent of his ugliness is revealed to him. Feeling he has no option but to turn to a plastic surgeon for help, Lette discovers there is such as thing as too beautiful once the bandages are removed.
The Ugly One is directed by Natalie Simone with design by Vyshnavi Krishnan. It will be at the Wardrobe Theatre from 08 – 10 June.
