The Victoria and Albert Museum Theatre Collection

The Victoria and Albert Museum Theatre Collection:

The V&A in London, houses an impressive collection of costumes, set, marketing, designs and other items from the historical world of performing arts in the UK.

The extensive collection at the museum launched in the 20s after private collector Gabrielle Enthoven, donated her personal collection of theatre memorabilia.

The theatre collection has continued to grow, featuring publicly displayed historical items alongside current West End show costume designs .

The permanent display are in rooms 103-106 at the V&A and definitely worth a stop off for theatre fans visiting London.
