Theatre Screenings Showcase Bristol Booking Now

For those missing live theatre, Showcase Cinema De Lux in Bristol’s Cabot Circus is showing Kinky Boots – The Musical and Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes.

Kinky Boots – The Musical was filmed live at London’s Adelphi Theatre. The show is based on real life events portrayed in a movie written by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper.

Charlie – Killian Donnelly – is a factory owner struggling to save the family business after the death of his father. When he meets Lola – Matt Henry – the pair battle the ups and downs of friendship as well as attempt to save the factory by producing footwear for drag queens.

The screening takes place on Wednesday 19 August 2020 with a run time of 2 hours 13 minutes and rating of 12A.

Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes, spins the story of dancer Victoria Page, a thriller based on the classic Powell and Pressburger movie and set to music by Hollywood composer Bernard Herrmann.

The Red Shoes stars Ashley Shaw as Victoria Page, Adam Cooper as Boris Lermontov and Dominic North as Julian Craster.
