This June – Family Tree at Tobacco Factory Theatres

We’ve got more production shots for Family Tree, which is coming to Tobacco Factory Theatre this month. Helen Murray’s lovely photography captures scenes from the powerful new drama which tells the story of Henrietta Lacks.

Henrietta was a Black woman whose cells were taken whilst she was ill with cancer then unknowingly to her, were used as the basis of cancer research through the HeLa cell line.

Family Tree will bring Henrietta’s legacy to life on stage, showing how important she was as well as the historical malpractice she experienced.

Family Tree will be at Tobacco Factory Theatres from 13 – 17 June 2023.
