Slapstick Conversations Brings Stars To Stage
The event takes place in Bristol this October
The preparations for the return of Slapstick Festival in 2027 is are well underway. The popular silent film festival returns to Bristol in February next year, spread across five days and five venues.
Last year’s festival saw more than 30 events taking place in Bristol, celebrating silent movies, the big screen and classic sitcoms.
If you can’t wait until next year then this is the news for you.
A special fundraising event will be taking place in October, bringing together some of Britain’s top talent for Slapstick Conversations.
The event takes place at St George’s Bristol on Sunday 04 October. All of the tickets sold will go towards supporting Slapstick Festival.
There will be three events taking place on the day, seeing Graeme Garden, Rick Wakeman and Griff Rhys Jones take to the stage.
Audiences can buy tickets for individual shows or get a 20 per cent discount – including a souvenir laminated pass – by booking for all three events at the same time.

The first show of the day is Graeme Garden: Still Clueless After All These Years, which takes place at 2.30pm.
The writer, actor, panel show inventor and star of The Goodies will be in conversation with broadcaster Samira Ahmed as they look over Garden’s sixty years in entertainment.
The second show of the day is Rick Wakeman: Music, Mayhem and the Movies at 5.30pm.
The heavyweight British musician and composer has had a long and illustrious career working alongside some of the most famous names in popular music history.
He will be sharing tales from his star-studded career before performing a live and improvised piano accompaniment to one of his favourite Laurel and Hardy comedies.
The third and final show of the day is The Wizard and the Welshman at 8pm.
Long-term friends and neighbours Rick Wakeman and Griff Rhys Jones come together to talk about their careers in the entertainment world and exchange stories and opinions.
