Bristol Old Vic’s Lanny Cast Announced
The actors taking to the stage this autumn have been announced
The cast has been announced for Bristol Old Vic’s hotly anticipated production of Lanny this October.
It’s the world premiere production of Max Porter’s novel, which has been adapted for the stage by playwright Bea Roberts.
The theatre’s own Artistic Director Nancy Medina directs.
The cast has been announced as the following:
Some serious acting chops will be taking to the Bristol stage, including Amanda Lawrence and Rupert Holliday Evans.
In contrast, the role of Lanny will be shared between young actors Atlas Johnson-Dutfield and Lucian Thomas, who are both making their professional stage debuts following an open call audition earlier this year.
Lanny is a story of folklore and fable. It follows a family who have arrived in a village not that far from Bristol. The young son Lanny, awakens the attention of the mythical Dead Papa Toothwort who is listening to them all from the woods.
Lanny also marks the autumn of a year-long celebration of Bristol Old Vic’s 260 anniversary.
