Bristol Children’s Theatre: A Strange New Space at The Wardrobe Theatre
Children’s Half Term Theatre in Bristol – Imagination, space and voyages collide in this physical theatre show from Tiny & Tall
If you’re already looking for ways to keep children entertained in the May half term holiday, then A Strange New Space at The Wardrobe Theatre could be just the ticket.
The show is from Bristol theatre company Tiny & Tall Productions. It’s the new name for children’s theatre stalwarts Tessa Bide Productions.
Amira is obsessed with space, facts about the universe and dreams of becoming an astronaut. She travels to space on an imaginary voyage. It’s a journey which parallels one she made in real life when having to cross continents as a refugee.
Aimed at children four years upwards, A Strange New Space draws children into the performance with physical theatre, puppetry and original music.

The show made a huge impact when it was staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 leading it to win the Primary Times’ Children’s Choice Award.
The Bristol based Tiny & Tall Productions is run by Tessa Bide and Alice Massey, who make and tour high-quality accessible shows to Bristol and national audiences.
A Strange New Space will be at The Wardrobe Theatre from 26 – 28 May 2024
