Three hot off the Apollo stage who are joined by a host of super- talented performers from other West End casts, from The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole to Matilda The Musical and Scrooge. It’s fantastic to welcome George Sampson who shot to fame as the youngest person to win Britain’s Got Talent at the tender age of 14. Together they will give you a fun, funny and fabulous evening.”
The show tells the story of Jamie New, a 16 year old living on a council estate in Sheffield. Supported by his mum and friends, Jamie harbours a secret dream to become a drag queen.
The music is from The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie Sells with a book and lyrics by writer Tom MacRae. Director Jonathan Butterell was inspired to create the show after watching the documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16 which told the true story of Jamie Campbell and his mother Margaret.
The much-loved show has also seen the role of Jamie played by John McCrea, Luke Bayer and Luke Latchman and Hugo by Phil Nicol, Bianca Del Rio and Bill Ward.
