Filming In Bristol – Young Sherlock Moves to St Paul’s
Portland Square in St Paul’s latest filming location in Bristol
Local residents will have noticed subtle changes taking place to Portland Square in St Pauls over the last week. A bizarre gathering of set dressing items have been making their way in and out of vans as well as contemporary street furniture being covered up.
It was of course for a day of filming today, which has seen the square taking a step back in time. Cars on the busy square made way for horses and carriages.

The 8-episode TV series directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone and Colin Firth, is set to be released on Prime Video.
The series is written by Matthew Parkhill, inspired by Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes book series.
Filming has been taking place in Bristol for the series since 2024.
