Chatback Theatre & Comedy is bringing If This is Normal, to The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol this spring. The play, which has been highly regarded by critics, centers around the sexual experiences of young adults in a world of ‘information overload’ and ‘weaponised language’.

Set in Kilburn, siblings Madani and Maryam have been friends with school pal Alex for ten years. As time has gone by, their innocent chats over childhood issues have been replaced by opinions on podcasts, porn and politics. As age changes the friendship’s dynamic, why are the best friends suddenly having so many unspoken thoughts?

Chatback Theatre & Comedy is a female-led company exploring the world through personal stories and real people.

If This is Normal, is suitable for audiences 12 years upwards and will be at The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol on 13 – 14 April 2022.
