Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen Makes Set Design Debut For The Three Musketeers

Famous flamboyant designer makes set design debut at Cirencester theatre

Interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, will be making his professional theatre set design debut for this year’s Christmas production at The Barn Theatre.

The flamboyant designer will be joining the theatre’s creative team for this year’s festive show The Three Musketeers.

“I’m struggling to contain my excitement for The Three Musketeers – my head is full to the brim of Main Character Cavalier design,” Llewelyn-Bowen said.

“There’ll be more feathers, floppier cuffs, twirlier moustaches and much much more panache than the Cotswolds has seen since I moved here 18 years ago. I’m loving supporting The Barn Theatre, it’s been such a phenomenal success story which we Cirencester residents are so very proud of.”

Llewelyn-Bowen joins writer Alan Pollock, director Bryan Hodgson, composer Lee Freeman and lyricist Mark Anderson, Musical Director Andrew Hopkins, sound designer Joe Dines with casting by Harry Blumenau Casting. 

The swash-buckling family musical adventure will see D’Artagnan heading to Paris determined to avenge his father – and become a Musketeer. He meets Athos, Porthos and Aramis. He must avoid femme fatale Milady avert a war with England and defeat his father’s arch enemy – evil Cardinal Richelieu.

The Three Musketeers will be playing at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester from 25 November 2024 – 04 January 2025
