Have you seen the cranes move?

You can live in Bristol your whole life and miss out on the Bristol habourside cargo cranes moving.

Last week, it wasn’t just the steam train running up and down the tracks, one of the electric cranes was also in action.

The M Shed Electric Cargo Cranes in action on Bristol Harbourside

The cranes were originally build in the fifties, at which time there were around 40 cranes in action.

Now there are just four.

On Friday 17 October, both the steam train and electric crane were in action for a Steam engine and crane driving experience, run by the M Shed.
