The Banality of Evil at The Cube Bristol
Worms Theatre Company return to The Cube Microplex in Bristol
Bristol-based theatre collective Worms Theatre Company, are back with a new production this year – The Banality of Evil.
The theatre company, which bridges activism with theatre, describes the show as one reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s offbeat humour blended with the darkness of crime thriller In Bruges. The show fits the theatre company’s ethos, which is to tell stories of resistance in a time of crisis
The Banality of Evil explores how the ‘well-balanced’ individual is insane, through a format of absurd and comical sketches. The story asks if the ordinary person is wicked if they comply to ‘normalised forms of insanity’?
The proceeds of the show will be going to charity, with the project sponsoring 15 young people to attend a professional play at Bristol Old Vic.
The Banality of Evil, is at The Cube Microplex from 22 – 24 January 2024
