The Tina Turner Musical Cast Album:
The first single from the upcoming Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, is out today ahead of the forthcoming cast album.
Adrienne Warren, who has played Tina in the West End since the show premiered, gives an iconic performance of Turner’s 1966 hit, River Deep – Mountain High.
Producer of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Tali Pelman said: ”River Deep – Mountain High is a pivotal moment in the musical where Tina finds her voice as a solo artist. It was a turning point for Tina personally and is an epic moment in our show. It demands not only an extraordinary vocal talent but immense passion and fearlessness. The musical, written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins , is based on the life of Tina Turner. It is directed by Phyllida Lloyd with choreography by Mark Thompson and costume designs by Mark Thompson.
The Tina Turner Musical continues at Aldwych Theatre in London.
