Young Sherlock Season 2 Begins Filming in Bristol
Set dressing has been taking place in Portland Square
Motive Pictures were busy transforming Portland Square into the world of Sherlock Holmes this afternoon ahead of filming for the new series.
Parking meters were boxed in and a telephone box – now housing a defibrillator – has been turned into a Watchman’s Box.
Market stalls and building signs are ready to set dress the Georgian Townhouses in the iconic St Paul’s square.
Portland Square is a filming location favourite and has even been seen in Doctor Who.
At the end of July 20206, Prime Video announced that Olivia Williams, Indira Varma, Sophie Skelton and Aidan Gillen will be joining Season Two as new series regulars.

Bristol was used as a filming location for season one, which also took place in Portland Square as well as Broad Street in central Bristol.
The action and mystery TV series creates the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s much-loved fictional detective. It’s directed by Guy Ritchie – season one and episode one of season two – and stars Fiennes Tiffin as Sherlock Holmes.
The series sees the return of Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes and Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes.
