A Life in the Theatre – Misplaced comes to Tobacco Factory Theatres
David Mamet’s bittersweet play A Life In The Theatre, will be staged in The Spielman Theatre in Bristol this November.
Misplaced Theatre will be bringing Mamet’s comedy to life at the Southville venue which is part of Tobacco Factory Theatres.
Mamet’s play is considered a ‘love letter’ to theatre. It follows veteran actor Robert and ambitious newcomer John, in a series of on stage and behind the scenes exchanges. Considered a metaphor for life, the exchanges fast become raw and competitive as the play progresses.
Misplaced Theatre were at the Alma Tavern Theatre earlier this year, with an electric performance of Tender Napalm so it’s an exciting opportunity to see what the company will do next.
There is an opportunity to see A Life In The Theatre at Front Room in Weston Super Mare as well as The Rondo in Bath.
A Life In The Theatre will be in The Spielman Theatre of Tobacco Factory Theatres in Bristol on 18 November 2023
