Shakespeare’s Fool Comes To Tobacco Factory Theatres
Shakespeare’s Fool Comes To Tobacco Factory Theatres, bringing us a performance from one of the finest Elizabethan actors – Will ‘Cavaliero’ Kempe.
Kempe was an actor, jester, headmaster of Morris dancers and London’s finest clown. But he fell out with Will ‘git-face’ Shakespeare, ending up poverty stricken and alone.
Despite being an original shareholder of the first Globe Theatre, he faded into obscurity.
He’s now back on the streets of London as he gives a final performance to a tiny audience of a mouse and marrote, explaining his rise to stardom and what went down between himself and ‘git-face’.
Shakespeare’s Fool will be at Tobacco Factory Theatres on 12 and 12 October 2023
